I'm going to go die.of.exhaustion!

I am exhausted today! I have no idea why, I slept like a rock last night & only woke up twice to feed Kacen. Hmm, maybe I was jogging in my sleep? (I really should be to lose pregnancy weight!).

We are still working on un-packing, arranging and decorating our new home - pictures soon, I promise!! The past week has been nuts, I feel like I haven't sat down or taken a breath. We are hoping the stress level goes down a few notches within the next week or two. I am sure once we are completely settled into the new place & feel like it is home, we will all feel much better. :)

Kacen will be 6 weeks old on Thursday - crazy,right?! It feels like just yesterday I was on my way to the hospital to check in and wait till someone told me I could push! Now I have been holding,snuggling, kissing, burping, feeding, changing & loving him for 6 weeks! <3

Date Night!!

Last night our wonderful friend, Amy offered to watch Kacen for a couple hours so Chris & I could go out and enjoy eachother's company! (Thanks Amy, we can't thank you enough!) We ended up having a picnic in the park & went for a nice walk :) We had a great time and totally feel re-connected now!

I missed Kacen like crazy, this was the first time leaving him since he was born. My mind was wondering what he was doing, If he was crying for his mommy & daddy, all those things! I knew he was perfectly fine with Amy & was probably sleeping peacefully but my mommy mode just wouldn't shut down lol!

We cracked a bottle of wine in the middle of a city park - tisk tisk ! lol, thankfully no one noticed!!

We are H-O-M-E!!!

We made it to our new house! It was a longgg drive, but so worth it! It's like opening a new box of crayons, a fresh beginning to a colorful future! (: Kacen slept for a fair amount of the 7 hour drive! He woke up for feedings & diaper changes, but that was about it. SO glad he enjoyed the nice long trip.

Now moving all these boxes into the house is going to be a total pain in the but, same with unpacking! Ick, lol. At least now we can finally do a nursery for Kace! We didn't before in our old house because we knew we wouldn't be staying. We aren't sure of a theme or anything yet, we'll see what I come up with when I move his furniture and things into his room.

I might be M.I.A for a few days until we are all settled in here, but I thought while I had a chance I would give you guys a quick update!

Ready Or Not?!

Chris, Myself & Kacen are off to Edmonton today! We are going to finalize everything on our new house - can you believe we move THIS coming weekend?! It's so very exciting, also nerve wracking to be moving with a one month old. But, I think we'll be just fine, maybe Kacen will give in and have a nap while we make the 7 hour drive to Kelowna this weekend!

The longer Chris & I are together, the more our life really hits 'play' and things fall into place for us as well as Kacen. I am so grateful to have both of them, they mean the world to me!  Here we go, off for the afternoon.

Adoption Update:

Well, last night we met the gorgeous little girl at the adoption agency. She really seemed to love us, and we adore her as well. But sadly, it's not going to happen. Chris & I are heart broken. She would fit in with our family SO well, but with our move coming up & what-not, the agency won't allow us to move her that far. At least not until she's older... It's sad because we have been waiting for so long & would love to be parents to this little one. The agency said they would see if there is any way we would still be able to adopt her with the move and let us know by the end of the week. So, there is still some hope!

VERY exciting news!! (Adoption!)

Chris & I got the phone call today! After waiting for 2 years to adopt, we got THE call!!! There is a gorgeous little girl who is "the perfect match" for us as the lady at the agency said! :) I almost dropped the phone with the excitement of the call, Chris & I have been waiting for so long to adopt, this is just amazing! We get to go tonight to meet this little angel! I can't even say how excited we are!!

The issue is, we are moving, which would require to move this sweet little one, twice in a short time. I know how hard that would be on her, and it scares me as to how the adoption could go because of it. BUT tonight we will have all the details and find out if this little one is 'perfect for us!' more like if we are perfect for her!

An update on Kacen! :)

Well, Kacen is almost one month old now. He will be 1 month on April 7'th 2011. This month has been incredible, I do not know how to describe it in words! It has been filled with love, joy, happiness, peace and thoroughly amazing! Chris & I just love our little man to pieces and are so thankful he is here & healthy! Kacen is such a good baby, he sleeps more then I thought he would, he usually let's us have a good 3-4 hours at night before waking up! I was expecting to be on night shift for a few years, lol..

He's a quiet baby, he doesn't 'fuss' often, usually only when he is hungry or needs a diaper change :) (Daddy's gettin' good at diaper changing now!) Motherhood cannot be expressed through words, but only through love. I love my baby boy more then anything and can't wait to watch him learn and discover new things in the days to come. He makes me feel complete and gives life a purpose. I can't imagine my life without him!
