Kacen & I Are.Very.Sick. & Winter Blues!

It's hit, the worst cold I have ever had in my life!! My head hurts, my throat hurts (I can't talk at all!), my nose is stuffed beyond belief, I am dizzy, achy & tired! Poor Kacen has about the same thing :( This is soo not what I wanted, especially in his first month of life (outside of me that is). Plus, Chris left today for his training,I'll see him again in 2 weeks *sigh* I hope he doesn't come down with this awful sickness!

It's been so cold here for so many months, which brings cold & flu season. It's time for this snow & cold to be gone and spring time to appear! I've been having major winter blues these past few days, which hasn't been too much fun.

Here are a few things I do to make the winter blues easier to deal with!

1) Place fresh flowers (or false bright colored flowers) around your house! Purples, yellows and pinks are great to add some cheer & brightne the mood!

2) Wear bright colored clothing. Winter is usually expressed through our clothes with darker colors such as black, grey & dark blues, reds as well as purples. By brightening our wardrobe we can feel more energetic, awake & happier! :)

3) Exercise. Of course, this is something you should do in the winter-time too, but going for a walk isn't always easy when it's so cold out, you just want to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate. Well, pull out an exercise DVD or some good music & do a little work-out in your home!

I've been doing these things recently and they have truly made a difference in how I feel! I hope you are able to use these tips to feel a little bit happier in these last (hopefully) weeks of winter!
